Alumni Program
At ViaMar Health, we believe in the kind of recovery that’s meant to last a lifetime. The kind where you learn you deserve to thrive, not just survive. A recovery shaped by connection, walking alongside fellow recovery warriors who remind you that you’re never in it alone.
That’s why our Alumni Programming provides ongoing support, connection, and resources for Teens (12–17), Adults (18+), and Family Members/Support Persons after treatment so everyone has the tools to stay connected and thrive in recovery.
Ongoing Support and Connection
Recovery Check-Ins: One step at a time
- Struggling with a part of recovery? We’ve been there, and we’re here to support you every step of the way
- Celebrating your victories, big and small. We’re proud of you and want to hear all about it!
- Looking for accountability or a listening ear? Our recovery check-ins are a great way to stay connected and continue your path of recovery toward the life you deserve
Stronger Together: Recovery Focused Groups
- A place to build community. Connect with others walking the same recovery path, sharing the ups, the downs, and everything in between with people who truly get it.
- In-person and virtual groups. Everyone has the opportunity to grow, support one another, and do life alongside their recovery warrior community.
- A wide variety of topics and activities. From peer process and focused discussion groups to music, doodles, journaling, trivia, and more, there’s something for every interest.

Speak To An Alumni
Want insight from someone who’s actually been through one of our programs? ViaMar Health offers the opportunity to schedule a free 15-minute chat with a former patient. It’s an easy, low-pressure way to hear an authentic personal experience, ask your own questions, and get a clearer sense of what treatment and everyday life in a program are really like before moving forward.
Alumni Spotlight
The Alumni Spotlight series is intended to introduce the individuals behind the recovery journeys. In each profile, an alumna or alumnus offers ten engaging and often unexpected facts that highlight their identity beyond an eating disorder history. This approach encourages connection, helps readers discover shared interests, and fosters a stronger sense of belonging within the alumni community.
We invite you to explore the spotlights published to date. You may discover a detail that resonates and opens the door to a new connection.
Tiles of Hope, started in 2024, is meant to inspire current patients and families in treatment at ViaMar Health by creating a visual reminder that there is HOPE in healing from eating disorders and other related health conditions. All tiles in the mural were created by members of the ViaMar Health Alumni Program.
